ENABLE CODES

Many Japanese Playstation games will not work on a 'chipped' Playstation. This is apparently to deter piracy, but in fact it hurts the customer who purchases the original. You could buy an imported game for £50, which would not work, or buy a pirate version for about £5 which would be 'hacked' to run perfectly. The games market seems intent on destroying itself!
To help those of us who still buy original copies of Japanese games, but find they do not work with our 'chipped' systems, coders come up with these 'enable codes' which attempt to bypass the check for the chip.

How to use these codes-

1- On the menu screen of your Gameshark/ cheat cartridge, choose the 'Select code' option.

2- Now select 'Create new code' or whatever your cartridge calls this function.

3- Now select 'New code' NOT 'Master code'!

4- Now you must input a title for the code (eg- use the game's name)

5- Now you must name the individual code (eg- enable code)

6- Now you have to input the first line of the code.

7- Once you have input the first line, you have an option to create a second.
If you do, the second line will automatically default to containing the same as the first line.
Just alter the line to match what you require.

8- Once all lines are completed, save the code.

9- The code should now be selected, if not select it.

10- Insert the game disc, then select 'Start game with selected code'.
Your cartridge may call it 'Start game with cheats' or something similar.

11- Game should now load fine.
